Wave100 has, under a number of disguises, been involved in design projects for some of the world's leading brands. Here are just a few examples, ancient and modern (to be honest, mostly ancient!), familiar and not so familiar.

If you remember this then you're probably too old to be looking at the internet. The original, and definitely the best, packaging for the topping that froze to a shell on contact with something cold.

This is now a collectors item as it was produced in limited numbers due to the unfortunate habit of consumers keeping it in the fridge - rendering the contents rock solid and totally useless until a prolonged thawing out period was endured.

The snowball's successor, a rather less distinguished cone by the same designer, was embraced with less enthusuasm than this icon of minimalist consumer branding.

Pull up in your Ford Capri Laser outside Cinderella Rockafella's on Roller Disco Friday, drinking cocktails in a half pint glass with an umbrella for added sophistication.

And what are they drinking today? "WKD" and Bacardi Breezers . . . peasants!.

One day the world may once again be glamorous enough for Shakers Cocktails. Until then bartender, make mine a Pina Calada - in a straight glass.

Buying a light bulb used to be such a straightforward decision - light bulb gone, replace it with another one, just like its predecessor.

And then came Softone, the light bulb designed to complement and enhance your decor with subtle shades of colour.

We all became lighting designers, creating moods and ambience as "lifestyle" extended to this most humble of household products.

A product of its time, when we all tired of lifestyle as the 80s turned into the 90s, we reverted to type, lightbulbs again became a basic purchase and the golden age of oddly disconcerting room lighting came to an end.
